Please note that our clinic only treats Multiple Sclerosis patients.

Appointments:

Patients are seen by appointment by calling 865.218.6222. Should you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you do so within 48 hours of your scheduled visit. We are open from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday – please note that we are closed for lunch from 12pm to 1pm and all day on Fridays.

New patients should request that their medical records be mailed or faxed to our office at 833-671-1059 for review. After the review process is complete, the receptionist will contact you to schedule an appointment.
Please bring your current insurance card and driver’s license to every appointment.

We are not able to accept walk-in patients.

Referrals:

If your insurance requires a specialist referral, please contact your primary care physician to obtain the referral at least 10 days prior to your appointment.

Insurance, Billing, and Payment:

We participate with most insurance companies and networks, however, to be sure we are included in yours, please contact your insurance provider before your scheduled appointment.  Our Billing Department will file your insurance claim for you.  Your insurance requires that all co-pays, co-insurance, or deductibles be paid at the time of service. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, cash and checks.

Medication Refills:

If refills are needed, please always have your prescriptions refilled when you see your provider.  Physicians on call will not refill routine medications or call in any prescriptions for controlled substances [narcotics] or antibiotics.   Due to the high volume of calls that we receive, we ask that you request refills at least 3 business days / 72 hours in advance to allow time for authorizations. Please note that our office is closed on Fridays and that we are not able to call in prescriptions or order refills outside of our normal business hours Monday – Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Calls received after 3pm will not be processed until the following business day.

When requesting refills, please be sure to leave your full name, phone number, date of birth, physician, medication, dosage, pharmacy name and pharmacy number.

After Hours Care:

If you have an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency medical facility.

The answering service will take calls after normal business hours and weekends. It is not the policy of our physicians to prescribe new medications or pain medications over the phone.

How to Cancel Your Appointment:

To cancel or reschedule appointments, please call Hope Neurology at 865-218-6222. If you have any problems getting through, you can leave a message with your name, appointment date and cancellation reason or request for rescheduling.
